New ICS firmware
« on: April 20, 2012, 03:08:28 PM »
Guys,

I can see that there is a new firmware available on Ployer website for our D10 a.k.a Momo9c.

Dear Devesh, can we flash the same on our tablets?

Here's the link for downloading it:

http://en.ployer.cn/support.php

Got the following info on release notes on another forum where someone has flashed it.

Quote
Release Notes - by eyeoncomputers (Phong)

Model Number: Ployer Momo9
Android Version: 4.0.3
Baseband Versiion: 1.1
Kernel Version: 3.0.8+
Build Number: 97F2-D1-H1-H02-1901.20120407

Tablet model this is meant for:
- model with 1.3MP camera
(so if you use this with any other model, the camera app won't work)

Notes about the build:
- default Chinese language and time zone (simple to change to your language and time zone)
- branded as Momo9 on bootscreens and homescreen (easy to edit them)
- includes Chinese bloatware (which can all be uninstalled or disabled)
- includes GApps: Gmail, Play Store (Market), Calender, Maps, Talk, Youtube
- Browser app homepage is set default to ployer website (easy to change)
- other apps pre-installed:
..... Adobe Reader, Documents to Go, Flash Player, Fruit Ninja, Talking Tom Cat, Unrar Pro

Observations about the build:
- fast and responsive like other previous 4.0.3 builds
- framework and GApps looks to be up to date and stable
- no issues with GApps not syncing
- no issues with Location/GPS services (using wifi)
- no issues with Voice to Text
- Google Play Store (Market) app looks to be unlocked
- YouTube issue with seek bar is now fixed

Conclusion:
- this is a great build overall, that is why it is the official final build for ICS on current and upcoming Ployer Momo9 tablets being shipped out (have this build pre-installed)
- too bad its for 1.3MP camera models, but still great to see
- stay tuned for Ployer to release this build on other OEM versions of these tablets

no issue till now.
1-battery backup is normal not so good like previous roms.
2- gapps n games are working fine,tested- virtua tennis, death rally (nenamarks 2 score 33 fps)
3- I don't have a 3g dongle.
4- play store is working showing all major apps.

best thing about this firmware is that its fast n reposive. there is no lag like perivous roms and no froce close dialogs.
flash it n njoy:-)

PS- I removed all those chinese apps right after flashing:-)

Guys this is different from what devesh provided:

http://www.filefactory.com/file/c43c968/n/97F1-D1-H2-H01-N413_20120314_rar

This is the one valid for 0.3 MP models....so its better for we 0.3 MB model users to go for this only and not the latest one? Any dif in performance?

Can we apply the super script provided the eyeoncomputers?

Any one tested this?

anshul, is this the same as MOMO9C 4.0 firmware 20120407 (318 MB) on their site?
Also this is for only 1.3 MP version? Mine is 0.3 MP i guess...how can I confirm...

currently, my tab doesn't start after modifying the build prop to get rid of device compatibility error...hence need to reflash with this one or the devesh suggested old one as below?

97F1-D1-H2-H01-N413.20120314.img in the official post here..pls suggest

Flashed this firmware just now.  Restored apps, and this firmware is really much better than previous ones.  Everything seems to be working fine.  Removed all the chinese apps.  The camera app is now giving options to select the resolution i.e. QVGA, VGA and 1.3MP.  Previously it was only giving QVGA option. My USB data card Huawei E1750 too working fine with Tata Docomo SIM.

@warrior047
Try using the allwinnermod app from Google Play and change device type to Galaxy SII, then try installing the app which were giving compatibility issues.

Which app are you trying to install?

Ok I tried licmobile as specified by you in another thread. Its incompatible  coz it needs sms capability. It installed fine on my MotoDefy+ phone. Build.prop tweaks only helps to a certain extent, not always.

Even if you manage to install it by sideloading the apk, it won't work due to unavailability of sms service.
